Two Featherweight Interior Systems, Fronts and Doors

This busy three-story medical facility, constructed in 1976, recently underwent elevator modernization, bringing the entire system into compliance with current State of MN elevator safety code. The equipment exceeded its designed useful lifespan causing passengers and staff to experience performance and reliability issues. While the project involved installing new machinery and controllers, car/hall fixtures, car/hoistway door equipment, cab interiors and lighting, the wood shell walls comprising the elevator cab were not replaced. Instead, they were repurposed with our Featherweight (FW1) system, a great option when a modernization project requires new interiors & components to weigh as little as possible.
